Kaci Heins is a 6th grade science teacher at Northland Preparatory Academy in Flagstaff, Arizona. She has a passion for integrating STEM into the classroom through hands-on projects and engineering design challenges. Her hope for her students is that they will develop a love of learning and to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. Kaci is the 2014 Air Force Association National Aerospace Teacher of the Year, the Flagstaff STEM Teacher of the Year, an Arizona Ambassador for Excellence, and an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Educator Achievement Award winner.
